Long Overdue

Hi Everyone,

I know, we are way overdue for a post so this will be a longer, catch up post.

July was a very busy and exhausting month for us. We finished remodeling our house just in time for the renters to move in on Aug. 1st. We got lucky and rented it out quickly to a really nice couple. Then we were finally able to start settling into our condo in Bellevue and wait for the baby to come.

My best friend Jenny threw me an awesome baby shower on August 2nd. Thanks to everyone who came and braved the heat!

Then my due date, August 13th came and went and that's when we started to get anxious to meet our little one. She decided to come exactly one week later, August 20th. The day before, Robert and I were still trying to decide on a middle name for a girl. We thought we wanted a name that started with an "L". Then I noticed that the next day would be the start of a new lunar cycle, the new moon. So, we agreed that if she were born on the new moon then we would name her Romy Luna. She must have liked the name since that's when she decided to come :) Amazingly enough, after we brought her home Robert noticed that she had a birth mark on her upper back that is shaped just like the moon!

Romy Luna Miller was born on August 20th at 3:22 in the afternoon, weighing 6 lbs. 6 oz. and 18 3/4 inches long.

She is now 3 weeks old and doing great. She never lost weight and has already gained over a pound!

34 weeks!

Hi Everyone,

Sorry this update took so long but we have been crazy busy trying to get the house in Mountlake Terrace rented out. Luckily, we've gotten lots of interest and we should be able to get renters in here by August 1st, just in time before the baby comes.

Amy's belly has grown a lot since the last post, but we still have 6 weeks to go!

We've also moved into our new condo in Bellevue but haven't had a chance to settle in yet. Here are some recent pics of Amy and pics of the condo.

27 Weeks! Last Trimester!

Hi everyone,

All is going very well with the pregnancy. The baby is very active and Amy's belly is growing bigger everyday.

We are both getting very excited. We started our 8 wk natural childbirth classes last week. For those who don't yet know, we will be giving birth at the Eastside Birth Center in Bellevue. The baby is due Aug. 13th.

We've also started shopping around for all the baby stuff we will need. It's kind of overwhelming trying to decide what is necessary and what isn't. We ended up registering at Baby's R Us since they had the most selection.

We're also getting packed to move into our new condo in Bellevue. We should have pictures to share of the new place for our next blog post.

Prego Update - 19 Weeks

Hey Everyone - we're 19 weeks along... here is a much over due update...

Amy had a hard time finding maternity pants that actually fit so she finally broke down and bought a sewing machine and after some trial and error....PANTS THAT ACTUALLY FIT!

If Amy lets me, I'll take a pic of the first pair she made.. its true what they say, 'practice does make perfect' : )

The bun-in-the-oven is coming along really well. Amy's belly button is about half-way out... should be ready in about 20 more weeks ; ) Amy and I can both feel the baby move now... little pokes, kicks, and the occassional karate moves are pretty cool.
